Darkness. The darkness is all around me. I can not see my hands, but if I could they would still be without you in them. Within your eyes, the strength to break through my dark and desolate prison. When all seemed lost and I saw myself standing at the edge of a lonely world, you were the ray of light that pulled me from the abyss. For if I lost myself I would be but a shell, a whisper of a husk in the moonlight.  I thought myself strong enough to take on the malignant beast of my own soul, you were stronger still to save me from myself. 

A thousand lifetimes I would gladly give to bring you back to me, you who would so selflessly give yourself to save one you hardly knew. Without you the world would crumble to dust and my life was little to pay for that, for you who is half my soul. To not see your light snuffed, so you may shine in the darkest night, I will give everything that I am. For there is too little good in this world, my eternity in the ether is a small price to pay.

I will rest easy, yet miss you more. Every fiber of my being wishing, yearning for just one more simple glance, a touch. Be angry with me, yell at me just once more so that I may hear your voice.
