Uwaaaa, it took me so long to come up with words, but let me first of all say something that is the most important thing:

Listen, it’s been more than a year since we’ve met from what I’ve counted and I’m genuinely so happy we became friends. I remember meeting you on your Caesar blog and how we started just throwing our muses at each other. Then I got the pleasure of seeing more of your writing and your blogs, which simply astonished me with how much you put into each and every characters of yours. I loved it, I love it, I will always love it. You’re an amazing person, you are someone who make the dash so much more interesting and I look forward to each and every post you make during these moments of your appearance. You are a delight to see and speak to. I hope that today went fantastic for you and that you’ve had a glorious day. I’m sending you all the love and all the hugs to you on this wonderful day. Never forget that you are just top tier and you are a fantastic writer with an amazing imagination & dedication. Love you a whole lot. Happy birthday once again! I absolutely love the way you play Goku. I wanted to ask your take on a particular subject; Goku and the Power Pole. Is there a reason Goku seldom uses it anymore? If a challenge fitting surfaces in bojutsu, would Goku see himself picking it up again?

and that’s a good question! we see goku using the power pole as late as his fight again garlic jr. in the Dead Zone movie, and i’m pretty sure after that we never see it again, so it’s a good question to ask what happened to it.

simply put, he just didn’t really need to use it anymore, similar to the flying Nimbus.

in the case of the flying nimbus, flying used to take a fair concentration and energy from goku to maintain, but when he became strong enough to fly without a second thought or drop of ki (and far faster than nimbus could go) using the lovely little cloud became kinda pointless, hence why Goku typically passed the cloud down onto his children until they too would outgrow it’s use.

the power pole was a strong weapon, but by the time DBZ rolls around and especially when goku fights raditz and beyond, using the power pole would probably be more of a hinderance to some regard? by the time goku arrives on namek, he’s far faster than Burter and can overpower Ginyu, making him far stronger and faster than the power pole could probably extend or hit.

when goku meets trunks and they compare super saiyan forms, goku fends off super saiyan trunks using his sword with a two fingers, meaning goku needing to use a weapon to counter other weapons is obsolete, and im sure he’s more than capable of cloaking his hand in ki like zamasu would do, if he truly wanted to.
