Hey hey! I just realized that solavellan week was in Sept last year. And oh my god it's already halfway through June. You were the one I heard about it from last year, so I have to wonder if you've heard anything else about it this year?

Time moves so fast. The organizers are on Bluesky and I know last time they put out a survey to fans to develop last year's prompts in early August - so I'm sure we'll hear something soon. I actually just messaged them to see about getting a page up on Tumblr since a lot of creators are here as well. Will see if they respond!

Hello my dear! This is lovely. Thank you for the ask!

Pride's Price will always hold a special place in my heart. It's not the first fic I wrote, but it's the first long-fic I successfully completed. I'm a big fan of my characterization of Solas in this one. I think I really nailed his personality. I wrote it more than 10 years ago, before Trespasser came out and when we were all abuzz with the reveal of Solas as Fen'Harel but we had no idea where it was going from there.

A facade, it cracks, like a plastic mask was part of the solavellantine 2026 I wrote, right in the middle of the pack. Just a quiet moment between Solas and Lavellan in my as-yet-unwritten da4 fic that's a spin off from cannon. I love how these two aren't in a 'relationship' and yet they totally are. And how much he shows her he loves her, and how she so obviously knows Solas and not the Dread Wolf.

The Ties that Bind was for Solvellan week 2025 and fulfilled the prompt 'hindsight'. I wanted to explore the idea of the vallaslin and what it would mean for the modern elves to still have a tie to the evanuris when they break free. A concept I'll elaborate more on in my da4 fic.

My Fortress, made of paper walls is the start of my Paper Walls series and I love how very Solas it is. He's so in love with Lavellan, but he's got to be all dramatic about it. Loving her and not having her and wanting her but not keeping. Delicous.

There is a place is pure self-indulgence. Solas has been fighting the war in an unnamed da4 fic. (I'm working on research for it now.) And he takes a quiet moment with Lavellan to show her that he's not forgotten her. That he still loves her. And hopes for a future with her, once there is peace again.

I'm super behind on this one, so I'm not going to tag anybody. But this was lots of fun! Thank you!
