Was He Was He Not?
Was Jesus involved in Politics in his time? Some sources say yes some say no. Those who say yes pointed out some verses in the Bible where Jesus directly challenged the political and religious powers of His day. In Matthew 23:27-28, Jesus rebuked the Pharisees and Sadducees for their hypocrisy, corruption and twisted interpretations of Hebraic Law. For one, he said “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean…” And so Jesus was perceived as the enemy of the ruling classes at His time. They constantly plotted His death. On the other hand, Pastor Darrin Patrick, in one of his “Jesus and…” series from the Gospel of Mark: Jesus and Politics, said that Jesus was not involved in Politics. He said “We must never ever ever, ever impugned or imply that Jesus was involved in Politics. I wish He were.” He pointed out that Jesus was only telling the Pharisees and Sadducees his opinions. Jesus told them "Give back to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's." This was his opinion when he was asked if the people should pay taxes. Jesus is a very influential figure in this world and using His name in Politics is like vandalizing a pretty wall.

Is the death penalty appropriate? Or should it be banned?
Discussing about death penalty is a very serious topic. This is literally a matter of life and death, because lives of people (most likely criminals) will be the ones who’d be greatly affected by this. Now first let’s discuss what death penalty is to shed some light on the subject. Death penalty is the punishment of execution, administered to someone legally convicted of a capital crime. Now in achieving justice, death penalty seems to be one of the most sure fire ways in order to achieve peace so that criminals would think twice before doing the vice. But people is this really the solution in creating peace? I was watching a documentary once online and it was a documentary that portrays a kid who has been living in the slums. A killer and a robber. He has lived his life like that in order to survive. Yet even he does not like what he is doing, it’s just that he can think of no other way to survive. Yes this reason isn’t justifiable enough for me to say that this kid should be saved from execution, but the next part is what will probably make you think twice on the idea of death penalty. After finally having enough of the life this boy was living he escaped it because he wanted to change. He surrendered himself to court and he was only judged of imprisonment for a few years. After that he engaged himself in painting and practiced his skill and he grew up successfully. See? What if during the time that time the boy was sentenced to death? He wouldn’t have had the chance to change himself and become successful. Yes death penalty is a quick way to create peace but really people we are not creating peace like that. How can we start peace when we are starting that with an act of cruelty? We aren’t creating true peace with death penalty. We are creating fake peace caused by fear and that is not peace. Everyone deserves a chance to change. We shouldn’t quickly start by resorting to something as cruel as death penalty. So with that. I can clearly state that in my opinion, death penalty shouldn’t be pushed in order to create a peaceful nation.

Best choice for the Philippines
Duterte is really the best choice for the Philippines. The closer we get to the election the harder it is to pick a candidate to be the president of the Philippines. One of the most controversial candidate this election is Davao city’s Mayor Duterte. He is slowly becoming the favorite to win this year’s election. Because of his zero tolerance for crime he caught the eyes and ears of the people even though he put little to no effort for his campaign. But is he really fit to lead the Philippines into greatness? He did make Davao city the safest city in the Philippines, but using an iron hand many were killed, criminals and innocent alike. Though his methods were effective and the city did prosper, how will he cope in dealing the whole country? Even so, voting for him will change the country for the good and nothing but the good.

Advantage and Disadvantages with Trade Agreements
Trade agreements will have a direct impact on the state of the world’s environment aggravating climate change. One example is lowering the tax on particularly daily used products. Because of lowering the tax, prices of goods will certainly subside resulting people to further purchase it that leads to the intensive production of companies. An industrial plant that makes the production of goods releases chemicals through the air that contributes to climate change and affects the environment. Another is the changes in intellectual property rights law. Because selling and owning of properties is way too easy, it is a factor why a lot of investor invest on a particular area and convert it to new buildings used for businesses which leads to the construction and the change of the natural environment. It could remove trees that are sources of oxygen and absorbed carbon dioxide. It also caused the loss of habitats of some species leading to become endangered and extinct. Finally, rollback of gasoline prices might result the increased demand of cars. A lot of people probably want to have their own car especially when gasoline is much cheaper and affordable and it is also convenient because they don’t need for them to commute. In this case, cars contribute a lot to the most common and dangerous air pollutants and the destruction of the ozone layer. For this, trade agreements could give us advantages in terms of the progression of the economy but also results its disadvantage which is the aggravation of climate change.

Stay on Guard: How to Protect Yourself on Social Networks
With social media networks, we are more exposed to the global community. We are more vulnerable to hackers, identity thieves and other security issues. Here are some tips on how we can protect ourselves using websites like Facebook and Twitter – to name a few – to make our social networking experience more enjoyable.
The first credentials social networks ask for are the username and password at log-in. Passwords are the first-line of defense against threats, so they must be strong enough that they are almost impossible to crack. Strong passwords use a combination of characters such as uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and symbols and should be at least eight characters long (“Tips for creating…, n.d.) If you are handling multiple social networking accounts, it is advised that you use unique passwords for each of them, reducing the risk of possible hacks. However, passwords must not only be strong, but also easily remembered. Ways of doing so include using acronyms or substituting characters to an easily remembered phrase like a spouse’s birthday or favorite sport or hobby. Change passwords often to stay ahead of likely hackers.
Passwords are one thing but personal information shared is another matter. You must be aware of what you share online and who will be able to see these. Birthdate, gender and hobbies are common when personal information is required, and so are residential and email addresses, location and contact numbers. However, sharing information about the latter is risky online. While they may be useful for relatives and friends, this information is more than enough for possible robbers and scammers. Such personal information should be withheld and should be only given to those whom you really trust.
In line with personal information shared, your photos can also be used by identity thieves. Identity thieves can create a false profile of you and impersonate you, simply by gathering information about your birthday, gender, residential addresses and photos. Privacy settings can be adjusted on social networking sites so that only specific information is made public. Be sure to adjust these settings to prevent the risk of identity theft.
Posting statuses on Facebook and Twitter may also be used against you; employees have lost their jobs for posting about their employers (“Protect Yourself and Your Data…, n.d.). Be selective of what you post online or, better yet, be selective with whom you want to see these posts.
Following these tips does not guarantee that you will be totally free from security threats on social networks. As methods of security measures improve, potential offenders are finding craftier ways of circumventing them. However, you will feel a lot safer knowing that it will take them an awful lot of time before they get to do so.
