Executioner swords don't get enough attention in media man-
Sooooo It may be more fantastical, but making Narinder's executioner sword ring like a funeral bell would be pretty cool, right? 👀 Just think; your a heretic and suddenly you hear a random daunting bell nearby in the derelict ruins you've been coupled up in with your buddies. You peak the corner to hear the same chime accompany a swing beheading one of your friends. The silence feels louder after the matter and emphasises the thud of your friends rolling head on the floor whilst a god made flesh notices you, mumbling your final rites as he approaches. Maybe its the 3am motivational peak but man I love this idea too much to drop it now-

Aighto a little more on the executioner sword idea. Instead of writing and finishing off the first part of my story I decided 'yo why not think about the prequel to it which has no right to exist atm' and so here we are. Long story short; Death (Narinder)'s scythe is a cool idea, visually, metaphorically, the whole nine yards, until you try to use it to actually cause death in which its horrifically bad. So my mindset went from axes to swords and the reason for picking the latter is 'many': - Swords have two reasons to exist, to look good/ show power or wealth, or to kill (gods are strong and probably wealthy so it checks out) - Arguably ties in with Shamura being a god of war (a sword as a symbol of war seems fitting) and so one could say, thematically, it shows their close bond before it all went to shit as they both use swords but for vastly different purposes - Swords are cool I also saw the weird upside-down cross and it vaguely looked sword like and I wanted to mess with the idea a bit because symbolism is neat. Theres more bits and bobs that went into this idea but I wanna save it for the eventual supposed prequel for NoK I got cooking in the background. Just enjoy the big sword.
