“Just sayin’, pardner.“

“Luth? You up?” His voice was relatively soft just in case his husband actually was asleep like he should be since it was well passed midnight. “I just wanted to let you know I’m home.. and I was thinking about making a grilled cheese.. if ya want one..” He was starving and needed a distraction from the throbbing migraine caused by the black eye that was new to his face.

“You alright son? You look lost.” 

               “hey....” eliot touched at luther’s knee, concern creasing his brow as he did so. “come back t’ me.” luther had gone somewhere. eliot wasn’t sure where and he wasn’t going to ask, because maybe luther didn’t want to talk about it and eliot wasn’t going to open a can of worms that luther didn’t want to get into. he gave the executor’s  knee a squeeze and offered a fleeting smile as if to coax him back. “what’s goin’ on in there?” that was better. because luther could say nothing and eliot wouldn’t press it.

“Hey there sugar, what would it take to talk you in to a dance?” Leonard was leaning just a bit too close to drunk, though it was to happen when they were forced to go to a party he had no interest in. His tie had long sense been lost and buttons of his shirt had been undone. All thoughts were strictly about Luther (most not all that clean) and any thoughts about others finding out that they are a thing were long forgotten.
