I've got to say that my favourite things about Martin is his dramatics and sheer theatre-kid ness. Like every single friend (not that there's many) he ever makes in the human world is linked to theatre. Dude collapses in a 12 year olds garden or like her pony trek and as soon as he isn't actively dying is like fellow theatre kid? must mentor must mentor immediately
#I'm honestly a little surprised he didn't capitalise on his tragic backstory for his dramatics like#i need to make a separate post on how dramatic and tragic his backstory is tbh#its like you're reading this and thinking why is he like this#and then you realise he's like 17 or 18 really#if you work things out#and is a theatre kid#Shakespeare nerd#and you're like this makes more sense now#there's no fandom for this what so ever but i do like these books so i will post#excluding Torch#Torch sucked and I'm not afraid to say it#there were some cute and sweet parts but so many character choices felt out of character and went against literally stated character traits#faery rebels#flight and flame trilogy
