on my way home from another post-op appt :D
i finally got my left drain out so i am now drainless!!! the office staff reminded me to continue to take it easy.. just bc i have my drains out doesn’t mean i can do anything just yet 🥲
but i’ve been cleared to start trying to side sleep again!!! and i drove myself to and from my appt, which makes me feel very capable :))
i didn’t feel the right drain removal at all! for the left side, i did feel it sliding out for like 3 seconds, which wasn’t painful but definitely weird to feel.. i’m so glad to be done with them tho!!
next appt will be my 3 month post-op appointment, when they’ll tell me about scar care/massaging. i have to continue binding/wearing compression garments for 3.5 more weeks.
i’m genuinely so pleased with my results and everyone who sees my incisions is shocked (in a good way :D) and says that they look fantastic!!! (i can’t wait to post a chest reveal!!!)
i also found out that i lost a total of about 7.5 pounds from my chest, and i couldn’t be happier about being able to breathe, standing up straight, and existing freely. it only gets better from here!! 💕
