My poor Brennan. I gave her part of a can of wet food yesterday and it’s a flavor we hadn’t used before. Well now we know to avoid that one.
I think she had an allergic reaction to it.
It’s been over 12 hours and while her face doesn’t seem to be getting more swollen anymore, it’s still a good portion of her head.
And shes had diarrhea so.
Going to see if dad will drive us to the vets cuz I’ve been up since 5:15 with her.

There’s finally enough snow that Brennan can go “snorkeling” again. (she sticks her nose in the snow and snuffles around in it)
Reasons My Dog Brennan is a Nerd™
She’s named after one of the Biggest Nerds, Temperance Brennan from the TV show Bones
Her favorite thing isn’t sleeping or eating, it’s playing fetch
Any toy is fair game for fetch. Tennis balls, soft toys, and right now she’s really into trying to get us to play with pieces of rawhide??
Related to that, one of the things she’ll do when no one is playing with her is throw a little piece of rawhide around herself. Then she chases after it and throws it again.
She likes to sit in the chair we have in front of our big window and watch what’s going on outside. Mind you, we set the chair up for the cats but Brennan has commandeered it. If she sees basically anything moving she gets really excited and barks really loudly
Takes up a quarter of the bed when she sleeps with me. I have a double-sized bed so like this is a lot of room we’re talking about
If I have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, she wakes up, moves, and lies against my pillow. Which means she effectively stole my spot
Barks at the garage doors when they open or close. Doesn’t matter if she’s in the house or in a car. If she hears it she must let us know
Knows she’s supposed to sit, stay, and let mom approach her when she gets home from work. She gets really excited though and does this cute lil bounce/scooch while trying to keep her butt down so she can get close to mom and still technically follow directions

Brennan wasn’t sure what to do so she took a a leap down the hall, changed her mind, and turned to go to our bedroom. Part way through the turn though she smacked into the wall because apparently she didn’t realize how close she was to it.

Today I also finally took Brennan to get her nails buffed and it's amazing because she no longer has goblin feet.
