When we start life we are blank slates, with no prejudice or bias to act on. From the moment our eyes open we are open minded, absorbing every piece of information that is given to us. We are all a piece of a giant puzzle, moving as the cosmos guides us, a victim of our upbringing and influences.We are flowing in the river of life, our actions causing rifts but play no part in the overall scheme of things.     I don't know whether this is comforting or not, to know that what I do will not change the course of this river. That I could influence a few molecules and that would be it, that the cosmos would choose whether a new course would be chosen or if it gets lost in the fluidity of human curiosity. To be so insignificant in the eyes of something greater, whether it be a deity or not, is confusing to me.

Is it something fundamental, something that is built into every human being? Is it a privilege, a given right, or simply a bonus in life?
