ColAR App
A great example of an interactive experience with paper is the recently released ColAR App (colarapp.com). Children first colour in sheets of paper, and the using the iPad they can watch their drawing peel itself off the sheet of paper and walk around the table. Particularly impressive, the 3D model’s texture is the actual colours the child drew. This creates a really tangible connection between the paper based interaction/creativity and the animated figure, and really sets it apart technically from standard AR apps like String. The app is by Puteko and you can see a full set of user created submissions at their Pinterest board http://bit.ly/13tJZ3z.
