"Ah, hello again, dear," Emmeryn greets her one-time teammate with a smile despite the circumstances. A red rose is in her breast pocket, contrasting sharply with its grey color, and now she pulls it out and offers it to the girl. As for the daisy she was given earlier, it's still behind her ear. "Here... To make up for... all my fouls," she says it with a light laugh before picking up the note on the library's table, which reads 'Just like Juliette?'. "Oh, and this... was inside a book..."
"Ah, hello Ms. Slate-Grey," a glance to the rose in her pocket, "You know, red roses are symbolic for passion, love, beauty, fitting for who is before me. But, ah, how could a mere rose compare to the sun that illuminates through the parting gray clouds?"
She takes the note, brows furrowing. Just like Juliette? Then she definitely had to go to the Conservatory if her suspicions were true. She may just have a lead yet! Or maybe at the end of the day she was just chasing petals in the wind.
"Thank you for this," a kind smile replaces her previous expression. "I'm feeling... generous, so lend me your ear and save your gaze for me."
She flips the book she had tucked beneath her arm to the bookmark. ( Sorry Emmeryn if you did want to read it from start to finish. ) Index finger points at the exact passage of importance.
"Here. This book tells the tragic story of star-crossed lovers, one appearing deceased but only due to a sedative. I'm sure you can fill in the blanks of how it ends from tragedy being in the title." Blue eyes look into hers now, hopeful, almost glassy. "But that won't happen with us, right? I'll be here, no matter what."
