She hadn't forgotten the date, after all, her duties would never stop her from celebrating her Father's birthday. "Boo!" She shouts as she placing a hand his shoulder. "Happy birthday Father! I got you something." She holds out a box towards him, knowing very well he would find her present strange, but she had plenty of time to explain the gift and how important it was.

Little did Chrom know that Lucina had come today to Ylisse so he was not expecting her little surprise. The princess--The Queen of Nifl knew his habit that about this time of the day, he will be visiting the garden so it was not that much trouble to locate her father and ambush him. 

When she surprised him, his reflex was to quickly draw his sword at her but thankfully, he did not draw it completely. “--Lucina!? Naga’s grace, you have startled me...but I guess deserve this much, don’t I? Heh.” Chrom smiled now that he sees her well. Yeah, she is growing up to be a good lady.

“Thank you, dear.” he took the gift from her hands. “A box?” does it contain something? He looked at her with a little of confusion in his eyes. He does not mind any gift people gift him because they are have a meaning behind them but he does not get this one. But he will not address this unless she says something about. He’d hate to ruin this moment by asking this stupid question.

Being Nifl’s Queen, Chrom will ask Lucina to be the mediator between the two countries. It will serve as a bridge between Ylisse--actually the whole realm, and Nifl (and Askr if possible.)

Whenever he comes to visit, he will take Lucina’s kids to play with them at times, frightening everyone in the castle because he does so without informing anyone. He gets too excited to see them that he just forgets to tell Hrid or Lucina. He apologizes later but hey, don’t blame a grandfather for loving his grandchildren who he can’t see every day. 

I think Chrom will try to encourage/convince Lucina to give Askr Grima a chance since the dragon wants to mend his ways. Yes, it sounds crazy, but I think the summoner will participate as well. holding grudges against him will not do her well if he happened to be around. Chrom wants that hatred to die so she does not inherit it to her children. They should not inherit that pain.

The weather was certainly different from Ylisse’s weather but it was not that bad. It is similar to how it is in Ferox but frankly. he could not stay here for that long. The place is still too freezing for his good.

He would have knocked on the door but he was unsure if she was up or not. Looking at how Robin was when they gave birth to the twin, they often slept while feeding them. He would hate to disturb Lucina’s sleep but it was all good when she walked outside. 

“Sorry, sorry heh. I didn’t know if you were up or not,” he smiled softly at her eyes then darted to her angels. Gods how much he wants to sweep the three of them and hug them tightly. “Nonsense, this is the least I can do. I feel awful for not being able to see them every day.”

Chrom happily offered the doll he had to Astrid and gently ruffled her hair. Adorable. If he died now, he is a man with no regrets. Wait, wait...no. he will not die. Not yet, at least. Young Lucina is yet to grow up and get married. Who else going to protect her from scoundrels men? This Lucina was lucky to find a good man like Hrid and Naga’s bless Chrom is happy that she did.

It wounded him a little bit that Caiden is yet to warm up to him. He wants to play with him, too...aww..maybe soon. He won’t blame him. Chrom is not around that much for the boy to get used to him. Still, he will not give up! A quick wave to him but yes, he does not respond. Still adorable. 

The gifts were placed on the ground so he can take over Nora from her mother’s arm. Yes, there was a moment when he clinched when she saw the baby flailing her arms at him. Ugh...carrying a baby is the scariest thing ever. He is not over it even after having Lucina and the twins. They are fragile things! and he’s....an idiot. 

Carefully wrapping his arms around the baby, he forgot how to breathe for a second before he took one. Head on his arm, check, there is no way it will slip, check, she is not crying, check. Good. He rocked the baby lightly making sounds at her with his index popping her nose. “Hi...Hi, Nora~ I know you don’t know me but I’m your grandfather.” lowering his head to nuzzle her nose then he looked back at Lucina. “Haha..she’s cute. Ah, sadly no. I might leave tomorrow at night or even a bit earlier and yes Robin is here. They are probably catching up with summoner. They said they have a lot to discuss with them so yeah.” it is sad that he can’t stay longer but hey! looking at the bright side, he could come here anytime. Well, only when he have time...

Chrom took a moment to answer, not out of hesitation but to think of how he should…say his response, playfully, seriously or what? Lucina had proved to be strong and independent since she cam from the future and even now she is a mother and a queen of nifl.
