Monday Night Raw: The Return of Evolution
I have to say, watching Raw on Monday was quite sentimental. The way they honored Ultimate Warrior was tasteful and well deserved. But what really caught my attention is what happened during the main event.
Working up to the main event, Triple H has issues getting Orton and Batista on the same page. But after The Shield served them an ice cold can of whoop ass, perspectives changed pretty quickly. As I watched all 11 of those wrestlers walk out to face The Shield, I thought to myself:
Classic Triple H Bullshit.
The Shield held their own for a long as they could, before ultimately succumbing to the might of ELEVEN FUCKING SUPERSTARS BEATING THEM SIX WAYS FROM SUNDAY. Then all of a sudden, some "new" music began to play. Music I must say I wasn't familiar with (been so damn long). Then lo and behold who walks out but Evolution.
After watching them walk down to the ring, Triple H slowly rolling his sleeves up and unbuttoning his shirt, I have to say, I felt pretty good about the way they dismantled The Shield.
Not sure why I'm happy about this. I guess it shows Batista came back not to just be a one trick pony ( I heard he has a two year deal), but its a good way to reestablish the sick and twisted Randy Orton we all love. Lets face it, kiss-ass-lose-to-everybody Orton was not clicking. But that may have been the point for his championship run. Either way, it reestablishes each member back to their Badassery ways and definitely makes for some kick ass matches between Evolution and The Shield in the next few upcoming pay-per-views. I look forward seeing where they go with this story, especially if we have an Extreme Rules Match between these two powerhouse teams. More to come soon as this develops.
Anybody else find it funny that Triple H said "Believe in Evolution" in Alabama? LOL
