Saturday he started to talk about New Zealand, he lives there now, but got sidetracked into talking about Captain James Cook which led to cartography which lead to Captain Bligh and how he was the hero and not that scamp Fletcher Christian. Then somehow all that led to a discussion about cannibalism and how in Maori culture the worst humiliation you could inflict on your enemies would be to excrete him after consuming him. (And sometimes his family.) 

Today his panel started late because Tim Russ kept talking, so John had Tim join him on stage and they had a joint discussion in lieu of John's solo panel on humanity colonizing other planets - Tim was of the opinion that humans would have to evolve to be able to do it, John is more of a fan of terraforming. Uh, and then some stuff about Egyptians and then John mentioned that he was reading a recent translation of Herodotus that was a delight. Both actors are members of The Planetary Society.

As I said, he didn't really discuss acting and actors that he's worked with much. He praised Viggo Mortensen, told a story about pranking Peter Jackson and that he's in a new Fox series entitled Hieroglyph.

I didn't see all of Tim's panel, but I did come in in time to see a clip from Star Trek: Renegades. (You can watch it on their official website here.) It looks very cool.
