harper (she/they) on the left and kali (she/her) on the right

the basic summary is in this magepunk town there was an infection in the town and so they made the evil globe to seal it all off

when that clearly didn't work they threw harper, an inventor, in to fix everything. except harper didn't really have a choice and also she is more in the realm of robotics and NOT qualified for the job. they're just there to calm the rest of the town

kali has been spotted in the evilglobe before, but nobody really knows what her problem is. all they know is she came out of the same mausoleum that the corruption seems to be coming from. later harper finds out she is a vampire (🎉)

inital dynamic is harper blames kali for being the reason they're here against her will and kali has to put up with them because she is the only real chance of getting out. harper is all business while kali is a little shit and pushes every single button she can

story continues and they become much closer but then harper is being affected by the corruption and it still gnaws on their mind that they NEED to save everyone (because now they have also dedicated themselves to saving both of them as well as the town)

this culminates in harper tricking kali into killing her via vampire bite. kali sees this and thinks she just straight up murdered her and scrambles to save her by putting their soul into an incomplete robot
