I’m actually kinda sad that chairman mckraken never returned I mean, I know he;s like.. COMPLETELY EVIL, and the boss of the first game and all. But Dr Maddiman looked irredeemably evil during his first appearance with all the not developedness he had. And nobody expected him to reappear in later games and get turned into a strange awkward adorable sad dad. And I know I’ve only seen like a few eps of a lets play of the first game, but I guess just constantly seeing Silly Office Boss Style Antics with him in every bit of dr maddiman fanart makes it hard to separate that from how he actually acts ingame. its like how everyone loved Guzma before pokmon sun and moon even came out, and we all made comics of him being a goofy dad, and then even though he was 80% more threatening than we expected it did not stem the tide of goofy dad fanarts. Tho in his case he did actually get a mini redemption arc that kinda had potential to make that stuff canon in the future. *shrug* ALSO mckraken just has a really cool design all the boss yokai always have great ones! I want every boss to become playable someday, even if dr maddiman is the one I’m the biggest fan of. Plus I havent even watched an LP of the second game yet, I’m sure there’s probably way more bosses I can get attatched to! YAAAAAY! (lol its funny that the only spoilers I know about later games are just the dr maddiman stuff out of context. It’s just very cool to know he becomes That Weird Sidequest Friend Man later on, even if he’s still not medal-able)
