Belina and Maurice, the pre-teen twins (13) of Ben and Mal. if you cant tell, they take after their dad, in morals, looks, and hair color. they really have *some* mal in them, by the purple streaks in their hair (hint; pay attention to how much purple is in their hair *wink*) and Maurice’s eyes, (if i remember correctly Ben’s eyes are also green but i totally forgot so Belina’s Ben green eyes are brown T_T) but other wise, they’re Ben’s kids.
They both have magic, but Mal takes on Belina as her ‘heir’ since Belina’s magic is...well more powerful, Maurice does have magic but he really is very “meh” to it, he...actually doesn't like it, he thinks magic itself is cool! but-he don't wike it...probably because of the way his mothers uses it, its (her magic/her) very-controlling and manipulative, so internally-he thinks its (magic) inherently controlling and manipulative. his sister has just been, very powerful since she was a kid, like Arwen, she is a sub fae, a elemental fae, particularly earth, she can control/manipulate fire due to her goddess DNA but-mostly she controls things and creates things that relate to earth. think Terra from teen titans/Toph from avatar;tla (yes this does mean she can control metal to a degree, if she honed in on it, she would essentially be toph lol)
these two were not...conceived consesually...at least not genuinely, Ben didn't exactly get a choice; being under a love spell again. yeah, and unfortunately, both kids know this (kids heard a guard talking about it/making fun of Ben, yeah, mal doesn't exactly end the cycle), and that's why they love their dad so damn much. straight up they latch onto him to make sure he gets some genuine love from someone because his parents/their grandparents are *also* spelled and cant exactly-do anything, they just are there to be ‘mal supporters’ (like in canon oop yall hear that?)
their other set of grandparents are around, Hades and Persephone. well more Hades than Persephone. Mal doesnt know Hades comes around to visit his grandkids, making sure they’re okay and that Belina has a handle on her goddess powers...also Mal doesnt know Belina inherited Hades powers, Belina hid them from her mother to keep herself/Maurice safe. but hades knows, and will do anything to make sure his grandkids are safe, his time on the isle did after all, teach him a lesson about family and him missing his daughters life made him want to make it up with Mal’s kids, because hell if he’s getting close to the narcissistic bitch queen that is Mal.
the golden bracelets/guards Belina always wears are actually ones made by mal so she can control Belina if needed, not wanting a repeat of what happened between her (mal) and her mother (maleficent). this does come into play later into the story (if you can tell the foreshadowing/connection with earth, and the terra character inspo, yeah, big ol daughter vs mother fight where Belina breaks free of the magical chains mal put on her and fights back big time)
fashion wise, Maurice does have more of a vk vibe to him while Belina goes the Auradon route, both prefer blue though; Belina, if she has to go purple, she will have it be lavender or mix it with other colors...yeah she doesn't want to have Mal’s pallet (which personally i like (d1/2 wise) but, Belina dont...lol) yeah, daddy’s kids if yall cant tell XD they love him so much (as he deserves)
