Katherine groans as she comes to.

She’s very woozy - she usually is after major panic attacks - but when she sees Jane constantly throwing the others off, completely unlike herself... it gives Katherine strength.

She stands, unsteadily, and heads towards Jane.

“Katherine-!” Anna yells, but the distraction has cost her, resulting in her being thrown right into the girl in question.

Katherine yelps; she doesn’t have the strength for this.

“The light,” she mumbles to Anna. “The light.”

She points to a small patch of moonlight coming from the window.

The one Jane’s been trying to avoid.

Anna nods, gently moving Katherine away, getting her to Joan, before she stands.

Jane rushes, Anna dodges.

Jane rushes again, Anna dodges but also redirects the rush towards the light. It’s fast enough that Jane can’t react.

As soon as she hits the light, Jane yells in pain, falling to her knees - within the moonlight, there’s clearly a veil of darkness surrounding the girl. Jane yells as it starts to seemingly boil off of her, eventually leaving Jane clear of it.

“Jane!”

Anna is quick to move over, checking the woman for injuries. She frowns at what she sees.

“Go help Anne and Maria,” she tells Maggie, who is all too happy to do so, rushing off to find her mistress.

Joan stumbles to her feet, moving to Katherine.

“We need to get them to hospital,” Joan says.

“And tell them what?” Anna asks. “That Jane attacked her daughter? She’ll be arrested.” Anna gently collects Jane. “We’ll watch over them tonight. If something happens, we’ll use hospital as a last resort.”

She puts Jane down on the bed as Joan places Kat sown. Anna opens the curtains a bit more so the moonlight is directly on the pair; Jane sighs, seemingly in relief.

Katherine is currently curled up in the corner, terrified. Whatever happened to Jane had originally tried to go after Kat, but Jane had stopped it.

A mother’s sacrifice for her daughter.

Jane coldly evaluates you before answering.

“Wait, what? Kitty!”

It only takes a moment for Maggie and Anne to rush upstairs. The door flies open, and the sight makes Anne gasp: Katherine is on the ground, unconscious, and Joan is just barely holding on now as she collects the youngest queen.

“Kitty! What’s happened-“ Anne starts, but then when Jane rushes her, she yells.

Maggie is quick to jump to defend her queen, but Anne yells for her to stay back.

“Get Kitty and Joan our of here!” Anne yells, pushing Jane away. The girl is pushed into the dresser, which gives Maggie the space needed to cross the room.

Bessie and Anna arrive upstairs at that moment, having heard the commotion.

“Go help Cathy,” Anna says. “I’ve got Jane.”

“Cathy’s gone evil?!?” Anne asks, eyes wide.

“No, not her. Catherine,” Anna replies, watching as Bessie crosses the room to help Maggie. Joan is awake and alert now, thankfully. “We have this.”
