today at school a boy asked me if i was gay or not (idk why) and i kind of know this boy so i was like "yeah, well i'm bisexual". he then asked me if i ever said the f slur. i was like "i mean... sometimes when i write, yeah"
so we started talking about my writings, and he asked to read one. i tried to convince him it wasn't something he'd want to read, even mentioning that i write mostly fanfiction, and that they do sometimes contain mild sexual content, and he still wanted to.
and to clarify, i like this guy. it's not like we're not friends or i hate him. it's just kinda awkward. and i also failed to mention that it was the outsiders fanfiction and parry fanfiction
...i did say i'd share my current parry fic with him though once he gave me his home email though....
so yeah praying i don't die of embarrassment
bruh i just got my schedule for school this year and what do you mean i have pe second period? ðŸ˜
alright 4+ hours after finishing the proshot because i had to help my mom set up the school library, here are my thoughts on the hadestown proshot:
holy fucking shit
it was beautiful. the music was, as expected, really good as well. It was pretty much the same as the cast recording on spotify, but i could tell there were some effects put on voices, especially the fates voices, that weren't in the cast recording.
i ended up crying like 3 different times; during epic III, the part where hades and persephone danced, and, obviously, the end of doubt comes in.
persephone was really funny. kinda in the over the top way, but it was really good.
apparently the guy who played hades, patrick page, had done something with his foot, so he had to wear a boot, but that certainly didn't affect his performance. not only did he do really well with singing and acting, but he also got around really well and quickly.
the best part for me, personally, was the cinematography. like, holy shit, it was just stunning. the lighting, the camera angles, everything. the only proshots i've seen before this one are hamilton and waitress, and this was so much better when it came to the cinematography. i loved it especially during wait for me. i was just staring at the screen in absolute awe.
fair warning to anyone who is going tomorrow or tuesday, there is no intermission. this has a runtime of 2 hours and 21 minutes, plus the previews, so you're in there for a while. so don't be like me and use the bathroom before you go into the theater, cause i had to miss part of the scene where orpheus finds eurydice cause i needed to go
anyways, overall was a wonderful thing to see, absolutely gorgeous and entertaining
my dad better finish his sandwich so we can go already
