Bus adventures continued: Olympic Training
What a fantastic weekend we had! This journey began with an epic sprint to the bus station. Hilsy and I had gotten stuck in traffic, and realized the time was 11:06. Our bus left at 11:15. The distance left was at least a 15 min walk. How would we ever get there in time? By running as fast as we possibly could with a ukulele, mandolin, guitar, backpack, and mini-suitcase in our wedges and heels of course! So we huffed and we puffed and we arrived at the station as droplets of sweat poured out of our brains. "Did we... (Breathing heavily) ... make it ... On time? 11:15 to Cavan? " -What a sight we were, red splotchy faces as adrenaline surged through our veins. "11:15? Oh, you mean the 11:30." Our jaws dropped as we looked at each other. What the heck?? All that worry and stress was totally unnecessary! Anyway, at least it gave us enough time to use the restroom and grab ginger apple smoothies. I got us the large size. We deserved it after that half marathon.
