Found Scrap: Day 1
Walking home from my studio, this scrap of burnt card fluttered across my path. The colour and shape will be the entry point of a new painting.

Here's my first amv, graciously hosted by Kvey on his vimeo account. Anime used is Toradora and the music is entitled "_" by wauterboi (from his album If Then). Â
Toradora was a very natural choice for me, when I was deciding on an anime to use. There's something inexplicable that draws me to it, despite having seen other anime with better art, better stories.  I think it may be the characters -- they're very real to me. The stories in it don't explicitly focus on one aspect of their lives or exaggerate too much; it follows them through smiles and grimaces, through boredom and through stress. If you haven't seen it and enjoy anime in the slice of life/romance/comedy vein, you may enjoy it.
At any rate, this amv is my attempt to convey what Toradora means to me. It may be a clumsy attempt, but I hope you enjoy it.
