#EveryNowHere was my step back to observe the blur of everchanging backdrops that has been constant companion in this lifetime. At a certain point, the cyclical nature of the same seemed to have a deep impact on my perception of time and space. An experience I felt needed it’s own musical avatar. Especially since 95% of the music I have written in this format have been at airports and hotel rooms and similiar while ‘connnecting’ to my tribe on a shared screen. I started with zero in april. And wanted to take a minute to express grattitude to those who have changed the shape of that zero into a newer form. #EveryNowHere was born out of my need to assign a more specific and focused space to the #digital #nomadic musician who’s creative process has by default, been onan screen on planes, trains and hotelrooms. Transporting the music onstage has been one of the most interesting challenges for someone whose idea of live music had no soace for screens onstage in another life. Some of the decisions thathave helped me make peaxe with these two lives are 1) play as much of the arrangements real-time. 2) not play to a click (even tho it gets REALLY hairy at times!) 3) performing percussion real-time on my drum-pad which has been a personal game-changer in tribute to the drummer I always hid within.
