An example of the learning moments I live for as the father of my son:
It's recycling day
on our street
and after 9 year old Isaiah took the
chance to help
the shopping cart man
collect a few more cans
He said, "I always feel sad
for homeless people, because I see them
on our way
home from school
and they always look so nice".
I asked him, "do you think they are
really homeless
or are they just houseless?
The look on his face should be the official definition of an "aha"
moment, as he said,
"oh yeah, I like it better to say houseless, because they have a home, even if it moves a lot. But, a house is just a big room".
The houseless man
gave us frozen fish in return
cause it's recycling day
on our street
