There is no words to satisfy, or a set of definitions that will suffice, you simply must care and love in order to find a way to resonate with those who are fighting to feel they belong, and have empathy for their position, in world that alienates and destroys the hearts of those who are different & hates anything that does not easily fit inside a box. You cannot possibly understand, you will never be able to feel or experience a portion of what this is like for us. But you can care enough to not continue to be a part of the problem, by ignoring great needs that every human needs and desires, by loving someone you may know for who they are, by trying to understand, by putting forth effort to engage, by being patient and kind, by being careful and aware, by showing compassion instead of exhaustion and frustration or worse. Autism is a life sentence in a world that is fully inverted and a forceable paradigm shift of adaptation and transition for us minute to minute everyday. I will never experience or even have a chance to know many many things that ALL people simply define as a NEED & human requirement, because we have been labeled, stereotyped, pushed aside, thrown away, and tainted as the outcast for being different. I am unable to properly explain the how, what, when and why of this complex equation of my mind, that will suffice or is acceptable to anyone, aspects and symptoms that even so called 'experts' and professionals have great difficulty fully being able to define or understand, so why is it on the shoulders of us to hold the burden and proof of life, to simply be treated like all people want and desire, to be accepted, wanted, loved or cherished? Why? I am not sure and have no answers, but one by one we can make a difference and help be a part of the solution and catalyst for new breakthroughs in treatment and therapy that are focused and viable in the effort to better understand Autism and offer those affected and diagnosed, a open door to a world that offers us a quality of life we have yet to even imagine as possible.
