I think one of the most infuriating things about this whole pandemic is how flippantly my family, who I do not live with, has taken it.
My dad is particularly bad and keeps quoting the small percentage of fatalities, like 5%? but between him being a diabetic, my brother ALREADY having reduced lung function, and my 85 year old memaw, that's 50% of the family right there.
And like, that's not counting my mom, who also has some chronic health issues, and my sister, who always just seems to have some new medical problem.
Like, if my family, who gets flu shots every year, and my mom who worked for the CDC in the 80's, if they cannot grasp how dangerous this is and still go out as their states restrictions are lifted because this is all a liberal media hoax, what hope do we have?
