I will not apologize for my most of my reads this month being Dungeon Crawler Carl. I am obsessed. OBSESSED. I NEED MORE.

The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelynn Hardcastle was fun. Body switching murder mystery is just bonkers.

As you can see, I’ve fallen in love with the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. Foaming at the mouth waiting for my library to get the rest of the series.

I finally, FINALLY got my turn with This Is How You Lose The Time War. It was beautiful and strange. Worth the wait.

The Time Traveler’s Wife was an interesting read. I love the way it handles time travel. I’m still debating if I want to read the next book that focuses on their daughter.

The Unmaking of June Farrow was a neat read. I didn’t LOVE it as much as I expected to but it was nice. You can tell I’m on a time travel kick this month.

I somehow never got spoilers for Bird Box despite it being on Netflix. The book is really good as far as the tension and horror element goes. There’s no way the movie is better.

I really enjoyed Gone Girl so I hoped I would enjoy Sharp Objects too, but i didn’t really. I only finished cuz it was really short and I wanted to know the ending (even though i already figured who the killer was…)

So many good books this month.

I finished the broken earth series. SO so good.

Violet Thistlewaite Is Not A Villain Anymore was really cute. I think I’m too AroAce for romance novels sometimes but it was cute and funny.

The Everlasting was awesome. Alix E. Harrow is two for two so far. Hoping to pick up a third book of hers later. (I have too many library books waiting on me at the moment)

The Spear Cuts Through Water was an experience. I loved the way it flowed through POVs and just the way it was written.

Agnes Aubert’s Mystical Cat Shelter was super cute and fun. I love the magic system here. Also is it just me do both Agnes Aubert and Emily Wilde read as hella autistic? (This is a good thing. My suspicions that it’s intentionally written that way make me very happy)

Middle of the Night was a fun read. My second go at a Riley Sager book and I think i’ll have to pick up a third.

March was a month for my Libby holds to finally be available.

I finished the Roots of Chaos series! I love it so so much. Talking dragons, lots of lesbians, and magic. What more could you ask for?

I read the first Dungeon Crawler Carl book and I NEED MORE. My library doesn’t have access to the rest!! I’m suffering!! (My spouse who doesn’t read a lot is even obsessed so we may have to cave and purchase them)

I’ve been working my way through a large nonfiction book, or I could have got more reading done.

I read The Last Wish of Bristol Keats almost exactly a year after i read the first book. I enjoyed my time reading it. Until the end. The ending felt weird. I wanted them all happy but something about it was just, off? And rushed. Idk. Other people echoed my sentiments, so glad I’m not crazy there.

Maybe it’s because I’m Ace (and probably Aro) but the romance in the Tales From the Tavern series has me going, wait why do you like each other??? (To be fair this happens to me a lot so maybe I am just entirely too AroAce). But the books are too warm and cozy for me to care! And the plots are pretty interesting! And the characters are so neat!

Didn’t do a lot of reading this month. Work got busy and family stuff y’know.

I LOVED all the characters in The Devils but that book was HUGE. I’m glad it’ll be a series and we’ll see more of them.

Ship of Spells just. Didn’t click for me? I loved the idea of the magic system. I love the pretty elf man. I love the sentient ship. But something about the way it was written didn’t sit right? I’m horrible at putting thoughts into words.
