KILAUEA VOLCANO, HAWAII, USA An update on the lava fountains, lava flow and LAZE, (Lava & Haze), which refers to the acid rains and air pollution arising from steam explosions and large plume clouds containing extremely acidic condensate (mainly hydrochloric acid) and minute glass particles that occur when molten lava flows enter relatively cold oceans. As Wendy Stovall explains at the very end of the clip the lava is entering the ocean at three points. You can plainly see the first 2 and the third is less pronounced but you can see it from the smaller but noticeable plume of LAZE above the two prominent lava flows and LAZE. This is brought to you by Wendy Stovall from the USGS Hawaiian Volcano Observatory and Paradise Helicopters. Clip edit by me, Jeri Rae. #HawaiiVolcanoUpdate #EveningOfMay24th #KilaueaVolcano #LavaFlows #LavaFountains #LAZE #USGSHawaiianVolcanoObservatory #USGS #Volcano mm
