#evaporative system problems

We are addressing misfires on a Kia Rio.

When our automotive technician inspected the vehicle, he saw the check engine light was on. The scan tool showed misfires on cylinders two and four. There were also codes related to the evaporative system – one for a large evaporative leak, and another for low purge flow. 

To solve the engine misfires, the technician recommended replacing the spark plug tube seals, spark plugs and ignition coils. Oil that was leaking into the spark plug tubes will impact the electrical flow and will swell the boots around the spark plugs.
