Like, Gendo being a good, caring dad to Shinji even if he still is a bit weird. 

Like, if you ask Yui, she has hundred of stories about Gendo almost having a heart attack/ crying/ being proud of Shinji. Did you know he changed most of the diappers and woke up in the middle of the nigh to check on Shinji? The time he threaten the principal and terrifyed a bully for ages to come because he was bullying his babe and no one was doing anythig? Or how he praised when he got second place in that contest?

The whole office know he keeps pictures of Yui and Shinji in his desk drawer and that if there is an emergency they can forget about him, he is gone in seconds.

Just give me Shinji casually chatting with Gendo about his day or any random subject. Confiding in him about his problems. TRUSTING HIM!??
