For those who would like to know, I’m disabling my Patreon account. I just haven’t been putting content on there, and it’s not attracted enough people tow warrant me actually updating it as often as I thought I would in the beginning.

I’m trying to get back into making artwork, but this current slump has been hitting me rather hard since moving. Motivation has been difficult, and without any income coming in from my art, really, it makes it even moreso.

Not really sure what I’m going to be doing... but hopefully I’ll be back soon with more art. I’ll still be lurking, though, and if you want some more personal content, you can check out my side-blog @amethyst-butterflies.

That’s right - we’re moving!!

My husband got a job offer in San Antonio and begins work in October! We’re sad to leave Austin, but thankfully we’ll be close enough that we can still visit! I still plan on attending as many of the Witches’ Markets as I can, and hope to still be of service to those in the Austin area!

Right at the tail-end of “The City”, the reader finds out that Earth is about to be destroyed by a sentient city that has taken control of 9 astronaut corpses. Of course it seems scary to us, because we live on Earth, but this story is a lot more than an apocalyptic horror tale. I see it as tale of karma.

Karma is a very popular term to talk about when discussing payback, retribution, retaliation, what have you. Where do you think you stand with the universe right now? Have you been negative and grumpy, intentionally being unkind or mean-spirited? Although it may seem small and insignificant, it can really affect your overall presence and demeanor. Not to mention, it can also come back to bite you.

Go out of your way to be a little more cheerful, helpful, happy in the coming days. It never hurts to exude positivity! Whatever you do, do not piss off sentient cities or we’re all toast.
