Okay, Jacks is scheming right from the start, I'm realising that on my reread 😭 he knew immediately Eva was the Key

I was very lucky to read The Ballad of Never After a few days ago and I decided to post a brief review of it here because this book is everything and more.

I won't say much in this post because I'd like to keep it non-spoilery as per Stephanie Garber's wishes, but if there were to be a list of books I would love to read again and again for the first time, TBONA will definitely be on it!

Stephanie outdid herself in every aspect— story telling, plot, twists, character depth, angst, character development and yes— romance! 👀🔥💘

Evangeline and Jacks beat all her other couples by a wide margin, not only as individual characters but also as a couple. One of the best feelings for a reader is to see the characters they love and root for develop, bloom and grow throughout the story, and it's what we get here. Their character development is amazing and you find yourself 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 them to get their Happily Every After!

TBONA is worth all the anticipation because it is the best Stephanie Garber book till date! And I cannot wait for everyone to read and love the book, Jacks and Evangeline. 💘

Okay, but at the end of tbona, this is exactly what Jacks does for her, I'm crying 😭

She just wanted someone to want her the way Jacks had wanted this girl.

Evangeline wanted a real love powerful enough to break a spell, which was exactly what Jacks wanted too.

Eva: YOU POISONED MY HUSBAND

Jacks: BUT I DIDN'T KILL HIM

Eva: *listing all the atrocious things Jacks did*

Jacks: You can't list the same thing twice 🙄

Jacks likes apples, Jacks is obsessed with apples blah blah, YES he is, but have you also noticed how obsessed Eva is with apples? 😭
