i just lost my smallest softest most angry friend😞 i had my hamster for almost three years and he passed away today, i loved him so much, i still do, ive told this story like five times maybe but i remember the day i got him, i wasnt sure how i was gonna pick one, like it’s not a toy it’s not an object it’s a living creature that i’m gonna take care of for the next few years (hopefully) right?? how do i even make that commitment with something?? and then as soon as i got to where they were there was this little guy sleeping on this little dressing table toy… like right in front of the mirror… how the fuck do i not pick that one??? like if there were ever a sign about anything for me THAT was it, so I took him home and i named him Eustaquio Californio (Taco for his friends… or it would be if he had any but he hated everyone), and I gave him all my love, i celebrated his two birthdays even if I made the date up, i celebrated his last half birthday just a month ago… i gave him everything i could, still i wish i wouldve given him more… he was so small and so soft… and he’d bite anyone who dared to come close to him. i got him a dressing table, just like the one he used to sleep in, he loved it, i bought him the most expensive food i had to handpick because he didn’t like everything that was in the box smh, id prep his vegetables beforehand so he would stay healthy, shit i gave up some harry styles limited things because the same day they came out he got sick and i had to take him to the vet. i build him a playground i moved all my stuff so he could have fun… (he really loved that dressing table tho) he would try to jump out of the playground to let me know it was time to eat or sleep or climb the bars of his cage alfjglsjdjgkf he used to go crazyyyyyy at night climbing those bars and falling over and climbing again… i know most people have cats or dogs but i loved my little buddy with all my heart, even the times he literally made me bleed, i cant put into words all the love i have for him and all the fun we had, im glad i had him for as long as i did even tho i wish it would’ve been longer, he was there every single day for two years and a half-ish… im gonna miss u datita, i love u forever
