racialization in palestine, like racialization anywhere else, is a divide and conquer technique. the fact that israel constantly tries to erase palestinian identity in a myriad of ways - for example, calling 48 palestinians/palestinian citizens of israel arab israelis is a way to divide them from other palestinians in palestine and in the diaspora, while also trying to divide israeli arab jews from arab palestinians even though they are often indistinguishable.
