runs were boooring. the teams always circled the same five blocks in the ragged hope that it would produce something new. whoever was in charge of those maps should be f-i-r-e-d fired! the only hope she had today was a partner that made the whole thing worthwhile. even the damsel-in-distress model that she'd thought up was a total snore when it came to these trips.

imagine her luck when they handed her the empty backpack and there was ethan standing at the door, her armed guard. finally, something! after ages of nothing but having to talk about babies and family. whining and sad, that was not how she pictured her time at the grand ol' wexley. coming right out and admitting she'd made the bad play was not on her list, so instead her conversation begins like this: "if you make me check out the pharmacy, i'm going to scream."

they're out in the street, away from all the sensitive ears and prying eyes. neither of them cares about trying to find the medicine that's been the talk of the top floors. she knows it, and finally here she says it. "think of something better, please?"

she'd noticed him in the diner, in the hallway, the flashing glimpse of a past so far gone she'd just about hung-up all the memories of it. she had no doubts about who had come to the wexley, but she wasn't going to just say out loud how have you been! that was silly, to give up someone's cards so early.

"sorry— you look awful familiar." she says finally, stepping in front of him in the middle of whatever important destination he was off to. she's always played just a little dumb around the harrisons, and it always worked out just fine. "do i know you from somewhere?"
