There's making a mistake, and there's fucking up, and there's this. 'This' involving four men, numerous guns and uncountable kicks, punches and shoves; they've got it in their head that he's a rat and there's nothing that they hate more.
He is a rat, but that's not the point.
"Y'gonna realise your mista--" he begins, but he's cut off with a boot to his stomach that drives the air from him and pitches him forward onto hands and knees, breath stuck somewhere in his throat. If he fights back, they'll think he's guilty, but it's the hardest thing he's ever done not to just break their necks.
He's going to have to prove himself innocent the good old-fashioned way, and if it involves being beaten up - he coughs as another foot connects with his ribs, is fairly sure he hears something snap - then so be it.
