Another watch recently returned from a full service and having some wrist testing time: Philip Watch Philmatic Day / Date (ETA 2789), probably from around 1971. Another watch found smashed up in my dad's box of broken watches, I had it fully restored. Note the case identical to the Omega Constellation model from the same years. Philip Watch is a Neapolitan /Swiss watch brand founded 1858 by Francois Philippe and Filippo Giardiello. There is an interesting story as it was trade marked for Italy as Philippe Watch in 1923 and this caused some issues to Patek Philippe to trade in Italy, and only in 1947, after the intervention of a famous watch dealer, that Philippe Watch was changed to Philip Watch and Patek Philippe was free to trade in Italy #philipwatch #philmatic #eta2789 #philippewatch #vintagewatch
