rate Gaang characters from the one you love the most to the one you love the least
Anon that is cruel. I want to start off with that Avatar is my favourite show and i love the literal entire cast. However, like my parents, while i love all my children: I do pick favorites ;)
1. Zuko.Â
He’s my favourite character of the show, so he defaults to the top of the Gaang as well. Basic i know, but basic perhaps for a reason! It think it’s because he starts as a villain in a kids show, he’s allowed to fail, lose and be ugly more and for longer than the rest of the Gaang, giving him more range.
2. Aang.Â
The titular character, the show hinges on him and simply would not work if he wasn’t done right. I can go on, but i think that speaks for itself.
3. Katara.
Water is the element of change and i think no one embodies that better than Katara. She cares deeply and hates fiercely. She always wants to help people. She doesn’t like people she cares about getting into trouble, but she’s not shy about bending the rules. She’s got grit when it counts
4. Sokka
Tha Man With Tha Plan. He’s funny, he’s smart, he can hold his own in a fight. He’s a bit stubborn and a moron sometimes, but also flexible when he needs to be. Maybe a bit too smart though, because he tends to get sidelined a lot.
5. Toph.Â
i do love her, don’t get me wrong, but we simply do not spend a lot of time with Toph. Her being the last Gaang member to be introduced in the show. Most of the time we do spend with her it tends to be her WWE persona, so at times she feels more like a plot device than a character. Of course she does have more to her, and it still breaks through a fair amount. It doesn’t help that after Bitter Work all the Toph-centric episodes she shares the spotlight with Katara. I think if she had an extra episode squeezed in, or shared her centric episodes with different episodes i might have enjoyed her more. I think the lack of time with her is part of what makes me enjoy fanfic about her.
6. Suki.Â
Sorry Suki, it’s not like i don’t like you. But how can i love you when i barely know you?
