Damn, 2 years already? 2 years today since I started E, since I finally allowed myself to start breaking away the facade I had built up around myself.
It's frustrating sometimes, thinking about how long it took. How much longer it will still take, before I'll be able to look in a mirror and see myself, my real self. Not just as a fem person, but as a person able to stand as I am without apology, without the weight of judgement.
It's been tough trying to understand, to believe that I am a person worthy of good things. Not every day is a good one, sometimes I have to take steps back before I'm able to move forward again. It's been a slow journey, but that's just the pace I'm able to go for now. I'll continue at whatever speed I'm able, I'll learn one step at a time how to value myself as a person. I'll keep trying my best to become, me.
Happy two years 🥂
hi tumblr, just wanted to share that one year ago today, (august 9th 2024) i started estrogen (call it an estroversary) since then, i've felt more feminine than ever. estrogen is truly life saving gender affirming care that decreases gender dysphoria and has helped me be more confident in who i am. now more than ever, it's so very important to remember gender affirming care is life saving care, and that trans lives matter. you're loved. <3 photos are from today, on 365 days of estrogen and me one year ago, 0 days on estrogen.
I like the term you used estroversary. Do you mind if I borrowed it? Smiles. Penny.
Absolutely and completely! Thanks for asking though, that was really sweet!
