Day 68/100 #100daysofcreativewomen  Ester Williams  1921 –  2013 “By the time I got home at night, my eyes were so chlorinated I saw rings around every light.” #MilliondollarMermaid #aquamusicals #EsterWilliams “The wisdom acquired with the passage of time is a useless gift unless you share it.” Ester Williams was an American competitive swimmer and actress of 26 “aquamusical” movies in the 40’s and 50’s where she performed in the pool doing synchronized swimming and diving.  She was also successful in business, investing in many properties,  including a manufacturer of bathing suits.  She had a line of swimming pools and retro swimwear in her name, made instructional swimming videos for children, and was a commentator for the 1984 Summer Olympics (LA) Synchronized Swimming event.  She missed competing in the 1940 Olympics because WWII broke out.
