If I had a nickel for every time a Dhamari fell for a kind-hearted man with a name beginning with G, I'd only have two nickels, but it's weird that it's happened twice

Li'l writing followup to some recent ESO RP. I'm sooooo nice to my OCs :D
CW/under cut for torture themes:
WELP that was a rollercoaster of unexpected emotions for my boy!
I honestly wasn't sure this version of Dhamari had the capacity to feel anything remotely resembling romantic attraction. It just figures he'd go ahead and develop his first ever crush on an NPC (Gadayn) who then promptly turns around and literally friend-zones him in favour of another NPC.
My poor already emotionally-constipated mess of a mer is now going NEVER AGAIN and wants to rip out his feelings and yeet them into a pool of Apocrypha slime.
Seven Sentence S....omeday of the Week
Tagged (indirectly) by @thehobbitwithstickyuppyhair to share the last seven sentences of a WIP! And for a change it's not SWTOR or BG3, but ESO, because I'm deep in the Dadmer feels this week.
"I thought you’d know that by now, Vedran.” I saw the briefest glint of teeth as he smiled sardonically. I was in no mood for his teasing. “But he’s so young,” I pressed the point. I glanced down at Dhamari again. Content to let the grown-ups have their conversation, my son had returned to his inspection of the glazed sand, and was now scratching some aimless design into its surface with his fingernail. “There are days when he struggles to even speak properly, and yet this magic seemed nearly thoughtless.”
I shall no-pressure tagggg.... @cadmium-creme-egg @tiredassmage @newvegascowboy
Which one of your Ocs is most likely to get themselves killed in the dumbest way possible?
And how did they killed themself?
This honour would far and away go to Dhamari (ESO version). He's not the brightest mer sometimes, it's laughably easy to provoke him, and he has a terrible tendency not to think things through.
I'm bad at specifics but very likely it would be something like trying to fight an echatere (true story, he did nearly die). He thinks he can survive anything. He's about 95% right but that 5% is gonna kill him one day.

🌠🍩✏️ for eso dhamari?
🌠 SHOOTING STAR - if they could make any wish with no repercussions, what wish would they make?
This was a tough one. My first thought was that Dhamari would obviously wish to go back in time and never become enslaved, or at least make an earlier escape. But he really doesn’t know how to live without that anger, that drive for revenge on his former master. So I think his actual wish would be to remove the physical scars that slavery left - the chain marks on his back and especially the Daedric runes branded around his wrists.
🍩 DONUT - favourite sweet treat?
Dhamari’s not big on sweets, but his favourite savoury treat is baked and seasoned seaweed wafers.
✏️ PENCIL - is there a particular quote / lyric that you associate with them?
I have many songs assigned to my OCs so definitely! Here’s one of Dhamari’s:
No more afraid no more defenseless
I am reborn I am relentless
I won't let you write my story
This is my moment of truth
(Unbreakable by Citizen Soldier)

20, 37, 41 for dhamari?
Gonna go with ESO Dhamari for these!
20. If they were asked to explain the difference between romantic and platonic or familial love, how would they do so?
Haaaaa oh boy. Dhamari is... not very well versed in love of ANY kind, and I think he'd struggle to articulate even what love is at its most basic, let alone different types. He'd be pretty quick to admit this, at least. He knows he doesn't understand it and how powerful it can be.
37. Do they have a system for remembering names, long lists of numbers, things that need to go in a certain order (like anagrams, putting things to melodies, etc)?
Bold of you to assume that Dhamari is ever this organised. If something is important to him, he'll remember it. Otherwise, he doesn't give it a second thought.
41. How do they feel about children?
I think the best that can be said of Dhamari on this subject is that as murdery as he is, he will not hurt children. He does have SOME morals. He doesn't have a lot of experience with kids, aside from when he was one himself, and certainly wouldn't know what to do with a child if he found himself even temporarily saddled with one. They are small and vulnerable and confusing.
What (or who) would your character die for? Live for?
Cas: He would die for someone he cares deeply for, or simply if there's a good enough reason and it made sense, i.e. his death would save the lives of several other people. Living is a lot harder than dying in his opinion. Right now, he's living for his boyfriend Juaco and the still-dim hope that he'll be able to actually have a life again.
Kemendin: Like Cas, he would die to save others, even strangers, or to prevent a great evil from coming to pass. He's been around for eight millennia now, he's lived his life, he'd be alright with moving on. He would absolutely die for the chance to save his human lover Cirieldis from herself and the darkness she's fallen into; unfortunately, his spirit is bound to her, and so dying is not an option. Over the centuries he's lived for many reasons - for his kin, the Eldar; for his studies through the ages; for the hope of seeing a world at peace. But now, he's quite literally living only for her.
Dhamari: Inherently selfish, his greatest goal is his own survival, so there is essentially nothing he would die for. He would rather see Tamriel in ashes than give up his own life for it, or anyone in it. He lives for himself - for the power he seeks as he roams Tamriel, and especially for revenge on his former master.
