It has been a year since the end of The Rumbling and a few years since his death. You were in a small museum that contained the heroes of Paradis.

Walking around, you saw a portrait of him. The man you once and still loved.

You walked closer to the painting to see its full glory. You never got to say goodbye and apologize to him. You were sent to Paradis long before the titan shifters were, making you a lot older than the kids.

You did in fact regret everything. You regretted saying those as your last words for him. You regretted not being able to say 'I love you' to him. You regretted that you weren't able to live in a cabin with him near the sea with your 2 children. You regretted turning your back against him.

The tears surfaced up to your eyes as you stared at him longer. You broke into a quiet sob and lowered your head, not being able to look at his painted eye any longer.

His cerulean eyes stared at you as if it was alive—as if it was thinking whether it should forgive you or not. The same eyes that once looked at you with love and adoration—the same eyes that held heartbreak when you told him you didn’t love him and that everything was for the purpose of Marley.

You lifted up your head to stare at his painted figure with your teary eyes.
