#error_too_many_open_files

Error code 4 or specifically known as "The system cannot open the file" is an occasional problem faced by Windows NT and Windows XP users. It appears with the assigned value of 0x4 and an error statement "ERROR_TOO_MANY_OPEN_FILES". This problem prevents users from opening or editing information on a specific file. To fix this issue, an update on the registry may be necessary. Reinstalling the hardware through the Add New Hardware wizard may also help.
