because of this post I'm now imagining narry as some sort of ghost like being decaying, and his voice keeps getting altered because of how many years have gone by and how he's not using it as much, words to him don't mean anything as he just tries to cry out what he wants, for Stanley to come back and find him
imagine him wandering around slowly, in a circle in that small little room like a zombie, tripping as his legs mindlessly follow the same steps he's been taking for what seems like an eternity to him, mostly brain dead which affects how he talks, only being able to mimic sounds he remembers saying the most, which would be "Stanley"
And say, even if you, the player, came up to him, told him he's found finally, not lost, and that you won't leave him again, he just won't understand, because what you're describing is something that he just doesn't know anymore, all he knows is this loop, one he has to keep at because well, isn't this just what he needs to be doing? feels like it to him
so even if you hug him, try to make him stop while pleading and begging, nothing will stop him, he'll eventually push past you and begin the walk again, the loop again, calling out to the only person he wants to find him, but just can't see that he already found him
