starting off with a meme, but real talk: erlynel’s random turn from comic relief to villain was way too abrupt to have been planned. a lot of things in era 2 felt like they had been thought of on the fly, and a lot of plot lines got dropped along the way.

she was fun enough as a villain, sure, but sometimes I wish the writers had actually foreshadowed her betrayal.

and the weird “she might have actually been being manipulated by the spider god” thing they try to pull later on makes it feel even more like erlynel’s character arc was being made up on the spot!
