all undressed     and no place to go
all undressed
        and no place to go
long, summer-like days in the library  Â
with my view of trees through
the office window, across the floor
and out the east window
the office lit by skylight
and darken by wishing
and thoughts of sunscreen
evening breezes slipping
though a bedroom screen
a long slumber into mid-morning
and sleeping off the third or fourth
glass of black fly ipa
stopping my legs from sweating
with a cotton sheet between them
looking out my office window
with amused revelation
of how i just seduced you here
and then to my bedroom
if only in a poem
but without you even realizing
how often i bring you into my arms
