Jazz could practically scream. She had been staring at herself in the mirror for ten minutes, but something felt off. She sent a picture to Morgan and Lilith, and they both liked the whole outfit. She had changed her outfit five times which was totally uncharacteristic for Jazz. She always planned her outfits the night before and charged them with energy, but she just felt like all of her classic outfits weren’t right for what and who she was going out with. She knew she should dress nicer for a guy like him.
But she didn’t have a lot of nice outfits.
She stormed down the stairs as she stuffed her credit card in her wallet before she stopped and realized that her father had no clue where she was going. She walked to the back room to his study before knocking on the door.
The silence was heavy, but Jazz didn’t have the heart to help him. “I’m going out dad. I love you. It’s with a good guy. I promise.” She said through the door.
“I sure hope so.”
Jazz’s chest clenched before she walked away from his study towards the front door which she now heard a light knock from. She swung the door open before smiling. “I’m sorry it took me a long time to come to the door. Had to say bye to dad. You ready?”
