Numbered sections in logic books
There are three logic books I know with numbered sections: Schechterâs Classical and Nonclassical Logics, Graham Priestâs An Introduction to Non-Classical Logic, and Wittgensteinâs Tractatus.Â
An acquaintance once pointed out that each time he read these numbered sections, he felt like there was a Germanic voice intoning âEins! Zwei! Drei!â at him. But in all honesty, I find it rather charming.
