Dressing TV Style Icons In High Fashion
Having a favourite tv style icon is easy. Finding out where they get their clothes from - is even more complicated. The success behind some of our favourite tv character closets is down to costume designers. Costume designers often dress actors in high fashion - especially if the character is rich or has wealthy parents.

Sam Wilson: MCU Costume Progression: Double V Campaign references?
The Double V Campaign, a campaign in African-American newspapers to encourage their readers and the national leadership to see the U.S. war effort as part of the the campaign for a victory for democracy at home as well as abroad for all Americans.
The campaign’s symbol of an American eagle atop a double V was on Isaiah Bradley’s shield in Truth: Red, White & Black #1-#3 when he served as Captain America after Rogers’ disappearance in the Marvel Comics (Picture 2).
While the shield Sam will re-take is the circular star-and-stripes design, his costumes have begun to feature a Double-V motif more and more. His Exo-7 armor with Riley in Captain America: The Winter Soldier is utilitarian straight line (Picture 3) ( In The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, his shoulder guards (pauldrons), torso armor, boot cuffs and even wing silhouette have a double V.
This subtle costume design progression has been in other recent films. In the Star Wars prequels, for example, queen and later Padmé Amidala of Naboo and her attendants have a variant of the fleur-de-lis that is used by costume designer Trisha Biggar to tie together these characters.
Michael Crow and Eric Daman, the costume designers for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, appear to be using the same world-building techniques as Biggar did in the prequels.

Gossip girl HBO reboot
i just remembered that when my sister and i were both teens we found an eric daman (the costume designer for gossip girl) dress at savers and got it for the both of us to wear.... it was this design, a satin bodycon dress with a sweetheart neckline and poofy lace coming off the straps:
I don’t think either of us have it anymore, and i would never be able to fit in it now that i’ve filled out a bit more, but it looked so good on the both of us even though it wasn’t entirely consistent with my current style

Blair's incredible cotillion gown was designed by the show's stylist Eric Daman, to act as an Eleanor Waldorf design. This dress feels so special, with that giant bow and the layered skirts it was so obviously designed to suit Blair Waldorf and boy did it.
