Finished the new season of Bridgerton so of course I had to go with Erend and Avad as a couple of regency era gentlemen >w> (not quite as horny as i originally intended but oh well lol)
So someone on the PC release of HZD made a mod that let you teleport child Aloy out onto the main map and it gave me a fun AU idea where the overarching plot is the same, but Aloy is baby and has help from Erend, Avad, and all the other friends she makes along the way, and winds up getting adopted by Erend and Avad who wind up being her very protective gay dads XD
Erend still meets Aloy at the proving ceremony, though this time it’s because Aloy sneaked in. Her focus still reacts to Olin’s and winds up making her a target when she sneaks up to the finishing line of the proving to watch. Rather than being found by Teersa, however, Aloy winds up washed downstream where she’s found by Erend and the others from Meridian while they’re being escorted out of the sacred lands. He tries to give her back to them so they can get her to her family, but with Aloy being outcast, none of them want her, which roundly pisses Erend off and he takes care of her himself and brings her back to Meridian.
Things kick off from there when Aloy comes across one of the other ruins first and Erend, Avad, Talanah, and a very perplexed Nil wind up chasing all over creation trying to keep up with her XD
Welp, this is it, folks, we’ve finally reached the point in my fandom obsession with HZD that I finally made an au that involved wings in some way XD
So, yes, an Erevad au where Erend is King Avad’s guardian angel or somesuch, sent by the powers that be to protect him from... something.
